Hello! I posted in the shoutbox, but then I saw this board.
I was wondering, are face claims absolutely required, or are we allowed to create a character without a faceclaim if we want?

We prefer the use of face claims, but they aren't 100% required as long as you can adequately describe your character!  |

Thank you for the info! I'm also a bit curious about your policies on animagi: to be specific, I'm interested in creating a transfiguration professor, and I notice that animagi are mentioned under the transfiguration classes for a few of the schools. Are members only allowed to create animagi if they're already trusted and established members, or would an animagus be acceptable as a first character? Thanks again for your time. |

No worries at all! The questions are definitely welcomed! Once you get an account and log in, you'll be able to see our full Character Creation section. Here, you'll be able to apply for both professor characters and special features, as long as you significantly show us why and how you're willing on using it. We're working on full fledged special feature guideline (Similar to the Elementum guideline we have up!). As I said, as long as you can fill out the required forms, you shouldn't have any problems playing as an animagus as your first character. |

Another question: the professors thread mentions that a professor should at least be a former graduate of the school. Does this mean that we should limit professors to the school they graduated from (ex: an Ilvermorny teacher should have graduated from Ilvermorny, a Beauxbatons student from Beauxbatons, et cetera)?

Yes, that is correct! Beauxbatons teachers should be Beauxbatons graduates, and Ilvermorny teachers should be Ilvermorny graduates and so forth. The exception is, of course, the Facility teachers who can theoretically be from anywhere as long as they are a Death Eater |
