AGE AND YEAR QUICK PICK Struggling to figure out where and when your character would be in school? Use this quick table to help you figure out when your character started school, what year they're in now, and even when the birthday cut off dates are. HOW TO DO IT Calculating your students' age and year are easy! Using the chart above, finding the year of birth, the year of study, the graduation year and starting year of a student is extremely easy.
1) Find your character's birthday in the chart.
---> for our example, we'll use 'July 4th'
2) Find your character's year in the chart.
----> for our example, we'll use 'fifth year'
3) Use the above information to piece together a year of birth.
----> For a fifth year, students would be born between August 31, 1974 and December 31, 1974 (older half of the student body), and January 01, 1975 and August 30, 1975 (younger half of the student body).
----> by using this information, we've determined our fifth year was born on July 4, 1975.
4) Use the reference chart and aged section to determine the line up of your student's study.
----> Our fifth year, born on July 4th, would be 15 when they start their fifth year, and would have started in 1986.
